Bindling is a technique of ecstasy wherein the individual focuses simply on creating the powerful psychospiritual condition of self-mastery, and thereby turns over the task of effortlessly releasing excess weight and permanently maintaining desired bodily form to the creative process as it is manifested in the deeper levels of the psyche.

Deliberate creation of the psychospiritual condition of self- mastery is the single most important ingredient in the process of effortlessly releasing excess weight and permanently maintaining desired bodily form. When the individual deliberately creates the psychospiritual condition of self-mastery via the bindling ritual, the individual simultaneously activates within the deeper levels of the psyche a deeper, underlying process wherein the self becomes transformed in its entirety.

This deeper, underlying transformation of self process is carried out not through the conscious deliberation of the individual; rather, it is carried out by the creative process as it is manifested in the deeper levels of the psyche. The individual simply witnesses this process as it unfolds.

This deeper, underlying transformation of self process is inextricably linked to the condition of self-mastery in that it is the creation of the condition of self-mastery that activates the transformation of self process and sets it into motion. The vast bulk of the process, however, is carried out not through the conscious deliberation of the individual but rather through the deeper workings of the creative process.

In a sense, then, deliberate creation of the condition of self-mastery via the bindling ritual is merely a gesture. To place oneself into the condition of self-mastery is like turning on a switch that activates the circuitry of a much larger process, the majority of which is outside the direct, conscious influence of the individual. The switch simply serves to activate the process.

The transformation of self process becomes activated immediately in the very moment in which the individual enters into the condition of self-mastery, and the transformation of self process deepens and becomes more pervasive the longer the individual remains in the condition of self-mastery.

Although the transformation of self process is inextricably linked to the condition of self-mastery that activates it, at the same time the transformation of self process is less distinct and more pervasive than the condition of self-mastery. Therefore, the transformation of self process continues regardless of egresses from the condition of self-mastery, provided the individual reenters the condition of self-mastery.

In fact, egresses from and reentries into the condition of self-mastery may in some cases even deepen the transformation of self process. This can occur even when there is a gap of time (regardless of its duration) between an egress and a reentry into the condition of self-mastery.
